The snowflake trail – Liverpool City Centre
This Christmas, Jack Frost is transforming Liverpool into a wintry wonderland of festive fun for young and old from 19 November until 3 January. Explore his Snowflake Trail, featuring Britain's biggest snowflake, and see the city centre transformed by sparkling winterscapes, with familiar streets becoming swirling snowstorms of sound and light. And don’t forget to keep an eye out for his giant painted snowflakes! A total of 100,000 trail maps will be distributed and made downloadable inviting everyone to discover the snowflakes and solve the trail’s puzzle, with a chance to win a series of amazing prizes worth more than £5,000. St Georges Hall – Poppies: Weeping Window
This winter the iconic Weeping Window will be on display outside St George’s Hall, Liverpool. Weeping Window is a cascade comprising several thousand handmade ceramic poppies seen pouring from a high window to the ground below; Wave is a sweeping arch of bright red poppy heads suspended on towering stalks.
